Hi please can anyone advise how long it takes in a car from phuket airport to Krabi as have received mixed advice from 1 hour to 4 hours - which is correct?

I drive from Phuket Town to Krabi frequently, I take about 2.5 hours. You would take about 2-2.5 hours. (Add more 15 min. if your hotel is in Ao Nang)

Yes, the drive is two and a half hours. If you need a very safe and reliable driver who will not rip you off leave a reply here as I used an extremely good driver when I recently did that trip and can give you his details,

Thanks for update - can I check - I am going from the airport not the town so I guess it would be quicker than 2 - 2.5 hours as the airport is at the northern tip of the island so closer to Krabi than the town centre -is that right?

I have private transfers already included but wanted to check transfer times before I go ahead and book it

When I did this trip by car recently I would say it was approximately 2 and a half hours although we did stop briefly at the monkey forest which is on the way to Krabi. So I would asume that 2 and a half hours to be correct. Alicia, if you are not too tired etc it is worth it to stop for a few minutes to see the monkeys (if you are in to that sort of thing!) We had a child with us and we enjoyed it - it is on the road to Krabi and it broke up the journey a little bit,

Phuket airport to Ao nang took us 2.5 hours with a stop for refreshments...to help you compare prices, 2500thb per car seems to be the standard rate.

AliciaWindsor, You might able to take the trip less than 1.5 hours from Phuket Airport to Krabi. FYI, The road from Phang Nga to Krabi is widened currently, You might better not so rush the trip, espescially on raining season.

Just to add Jozo%26#39;s info about monkey place, The name is ';Suwankuha Cave';, it%26#39;s worth to visit cave temple and see monkeys around there.
