Hi, i%26#39;m in Bangkok as we speak and i%26#39;m finding it hard to book tours, who should i go with??

booking tours - help!

Where are you staying? And, what is wrong with the tour desk at your hotel? If we know the answers to those points perhaps we can advise more easily.

Good luck!

Thanks

Before you spend big money with Tong stop in one of the many travel agencies. Travel agencies in Thailand act as tour brokers. These travel agencies will have a list of tours you can sign up for. Tour companies pick you up at your hotel and return you there at the end of the trip. Very simple!

Normally you will be with a bunch of tourists, perhaps 9 or 10 in a van. There will be a driver and tour guide. They will stop at various places, you will get info from the guide an have time to take photos. I like these tours and you have a chance to meet other like tourists.

Many hotels also have tour desks. They can book tours for you. Sometimes they charge a little more (especially the expensive places) than an ordinary travel agency and you may end up on the same tour as the tourists that got cheaper rates.

Check out a few of the many travel agencies there are lots and lots in the Sukhumvit Road area. On Soi 11 and Soi 7 there are some more.

Good luck.

We are interested to book few tours in bangkok as well. So am i better off to organise something now or should we go and do it locally? We%26#39;ll be staying at Siam City hotel by the way.
