We are coming to Bangkok for the first time in Feb next year. I cant belive how cheap it is to eat out ect. My husband wants to know how much electrical items camcorder, cameras, ect are. If it only cost a few bahts to eat out are these items dirt cheap too?

We went to Florida this summer and bought two watches a Cartier and a Tag Carrera, for a couple of thousand british pounds each. To buy such items in bangkok how much would we be paying? Thank you so much in advance x

Camera, electronic items and electrical stuffs are Cheap in California too. Thailand is a very small market to receive imports .

Some of the expensive electronics sold in Thailand will probably cost more there than what you can find for sale in your country. There may be closeout sales that come up every now and then with good prices, but you have to lug this junk home with you too! Another problem you have is with warranties, some warranties may not be recognized in your country if you need service or repairs.

Be careful of buying fancy watches there are a lot of nice looking fakes for sale all over the place.

If it%26#39;s a question of buying a new camera or a camcorder for your holiday, then buy before you leave UK, particularly online. Whilst there is a vast choice of everything and new models appear in Bangkok before they do in UK, the price of the odel you want may not be cheaper. Also bear in mind that you may get a local warranty rather than a Worldwide or European one making warranty repairs difficult if not impossible.

If however you just want to buy something to take home and are prepared to take the risk, go to MBK - a huge shopping complex with floor upon floor of electrical goods, mobile phones, clothes, you name it and a great food court. Do a search for loads of info on MBK and other shop til you drop places.

As for watches, you could probably pick up a Tag and a Cartier for about 15 quid each - copies of course! The real thing? Again you will need to shop around and be prepared to barter even in the authentic shops (as opposed to markets). Depending on models I would have thought you can get ';top end'; watches cheaper than £2000 each.

Yes the food is cheap, but the imported ';luxury'; items and electronics can be expensive.

Generally, I find the ';luxury'; items like parfums and cameras even some electronics to be more expensive then home (Canada). But then again Canada is ALOT cheaper then the UK.

Best buys for electronic is Hongkong. Thailand is not that expensive, but more than the US.

The USA is Home of all electronic brand names and imports alike . These items are Flood all over the country and very Cheap when they have them on Fire Sale
