Horizon Karon Beach Resort - how far to the beach??

I was wondering how far this resort is from Karon Beach? The travel agent is telling me it%26#39;s on the beach, but on Google Earth it seems a fair walk. How far in time and approx distance, and is it a hard walk? I have a 7 year old that doesn%26#39;t cope well with walking in the heat.

It isn%26#39;t right on the beach, but at the top of an incline. Probably no more than a few minutes walk. The walk down is very easy, but a little more of a challenge on the way up. Certainly nothing to get too worried about. If you do find it too much the hotel has its own tuk tuk that can take you back up. We stayed here last year with our then 11 year old and never felt we had to use it, but if your child is wilting in the heat it is a good option.

Hi Layla - it is not located on the beach but is about 2 minutes stroll down the hill to the southern end of Karon beach.

Thanks Ella and Chantal. If it%26#39;s only a couple of minutes walk, there shouldn%26#39;t be any dramas with my daughter. The resort looks great, I think we%26#39;ve finally got it right!! Thanks again for your help.

As you have already been advised, not %26#39;on the beach%26#39;, I wish T/agents would check their information.
