Very confused....avail or no avail???

really want to stay at Mom Tri%26#39;s Royale villas in Jan - hotels website has no avail - but when i go to sawadee - they say on request as do a number of other booking engines (asiativ??) Asiarooms.com and asiawebdirect.com both claim to have instant avail - does anyone know am i likely to get let down if i book with them??

Noticed on the forum that Sawadee seems to get a good right up from people - and i%26#39;ve heard bad things about asiawebdirect.com - problem is there prices are too good to ignore.

Anyone had any experience with this type of thing - why do some so no avail and others so some avail??

Thanks

Asiarooms doesn%26#39;t do instant availability as far as I know, but asiawebdirect does. Sawadee is on request...you try a booking and they get back to you on whether it%26#39;s available or not.

Hotels often allocate a number of rooms to wholesalers, which some online agents then can sell to you.

Try Sawadee.. they are great and they dont ask for any deposit or credit card details until after they have confirmed a room

If you really want to stay at this hotel. I think you should book direct to hotel that you will know room status immediately. Maybe, you can get the room. Although, agent reply to you ';room not available';

When ever I have tried to book this hotel I have had the same problem. Only way to be sure is to email them direct. They are really prompt.

I have had good experience with asiatravel.com they are very responsive even if you have problems. If anyone has information about asiawebdirect.com please share and update. They seem to be giving the best rates but how dependable are they ?

Whe you use Sawadee the booking request goes %26#39;direct%26#39; to the hotel, it is different from those who say they have instant confirmation and then perhaps there isn%26#39;t or request.

I would wait a day to hear from Sawadee, if they say it%26#39;s confirmed that is direct from the hotel.

The hotels allocate a number of rooms to the booking agents like Sawasdee, Asiadirect, etc. So it can be that the hotels itself has no availability, but the agents do. If you wait long enough and the agents don%26#39;t sell the rooms, they give them back to the hotel, and you can book directly with the hotel again.

But in general: the agents are faster with their service, and for the same package/rooms tend to be significantly cheaper.

Have tried to book through Asia Rooms before and got an %26#39;On request, notice back and waited several days and then got a not available notice.

Possibly through the hotel is best but maybe they are fully booked and you may have to try elsewhere.

We used asiawebdirect to book at Mom Tri%26#39;s with no problems. They did not give me instant confirmation, instead I got an email within 24hrs to tell me whether anything was avilable, and I was then asked for a 10percent deposit to confirm.

The deposit was taken from my credit card the next day, no extra fees. They were great.

I have have just done a background check of asiawebdirect - the holding company of the site is located in Australia and is listed on the Ausralian Stock Exchange. I am using the site - They seem to be giving instant confirmations quickly - As mentioned they seem to be have some unbeleivably good deals. I will keep updated once my travel is over - till then I will keep my fingers crossed.

I have dealt with Asiatravel - they have good deals and respond very quickly to your problems.
