Transfer from Krabi to Layana at night

We are travelling to the Layana from London on the 19 October.

We will be landing at Krabi airport at 8.30pm and have arranged transfers with the hotel.

I have heard that the last ferry is at 10pm. If we miss this will we have to stay overnight in Krabi or will it still be possible to get to Ko Lanta some other way?

In my opinion, when I had a booking transfer from our customers, if they had landing at 8.30 pm. at Krabi airport; I usually recommended them to stay overnight at Krabi Town. I don��t want my driver drives so fast cos of the last ferry at 10.00 pm. sometime our customers got flight delay too, so I must tell them to know these reasons.

At Layana Resort, I saw this resort has a speed boat, but I��m not sure what route %26amp; how much for this service (or is it available whole year ?).. You can email / call directly to resort and ask them about your journey, it%26#39;s better.

Last summer I%26#39;ve seen that it was under construction a road to Ko Lanta that let you to avoid ferry. But I don%26#39;t know if it%26#39;s now finished. Layana has its own boat, contact the hotel to know price and timetable.

If you have booked for that night,they should get you there,you should be out of the airport by nine.Then at first ferry 1015,the ferry should know layana are on ther way and take you over ,same second ferry,if your paying top baht,they might get there speedboat out.Regarding the road,just got back from hat yai,no bridge,only building work low season has been on the ramps helps with loading the boats at low high tide i guess.Was a meeting in southen lanta about it may time,but i think the ferry company has afew more seasons left on it,s lease.Loads of rummours.People selling land tend to hipe the bridge up,total guess i reckon around 2012,not the mainland one.weathers still great,had one night away.Of upstairs now as the cobra under next doors washing machine only got poked out the back door ,must admit the swede doing it dressed in acrash helmet boots coat and jeans wae surposed to have looked a picture,missed it by half an hour.P.s never seen one in five years touch wood.Pleny of others thouugh.Have a great time.Very rare on the beach,layana propley employ a snake security man anyway.
