fabric/embroidery shopping

hello,

i was looking for good quality fabrics, namely silk and also specifically for ribbon embroidered borders and embellishments.

does anyone know which market in what area or what specific shops i can go visit to find what i may be looking for?

staying in the new hotel centara grand atop the central world mall ..

since central world has so many shops, are any shops there worth a chk out for my needs or other mall/shops closeby?

High quality is unlikely to be found in a market. The best silk is Jim Thompson, and you have to pay the price for it. They have a shop on the ground floor of Central World but its only silks. Central World does have a some fabric shops but I can%26#39;t remember on which floors. For the borders etc, they may be available in markets such as Chatuchak (weekend only), and Big C across the street from Central World has some shops on the ground floor that may have what you want.
