What telephone ??

We will be touring Thailand for 4 months starting 17th November.

What advise can you give with regard to telephones...

1. Should I bring mobile from UK and buy a Thai sim card

or

2. Is it easier to buy a Thai %26#39;phone.

I want to make calls and text messages to UK, and the UK back to me. I will also use the %26#39;phone to make internal calls in Thailand.

Can you recommend a suitable company that will give coverage thoughout most regions of Thailand, please?

You can bring your mobile phone here and buy a new sim card. But if you want to buy a new phone, it%26#39;s not expensive here.

All companies are almost the same. You can choose any for example True Move, AIS, DTAC.

What you can do is bring a mobile with you and buy a simcard at the airport in Thailand.

They are pretty cheap, I think you have already one for 100 Baht.

Some of the providers are : True, AIS 12Call, The happy sim cards are just a few.

You can basically stop at the airport and walk into a telecom shop and you will find one that will suit you.
