8 hours at Suvarnabhumi

Hello everyone,

My sister will be in Suvarnabhumi Airport for 8 hours, she%26#39;ll arrive at midnight and catch an early flight at 8 am the next day.

My question is how comfy is the new airport for a long transit, is there any bench to lay down ? any bathroom to take shower ?? what to do list in suvarnabhumi ? this is her first time traveling alone at midnight so she%26#39;s hesitating to take taxi to the nearest hotel and airport novotel hotel is awfully expensive.

Any suggestion ?? any comment / experience is appreciate.

Thanks.

The new airport only offers fairly standard bench style seating of the type found in airports the world over:not especially comfortable for lying down on.However you see plenty of people trying to sleep so some must manage it.An altenative is to book a %26#39;day room%26#39; for up to a maximum of 6 hours at Loiuis Tavern within the airport but this is not a cheap option at B2800 for a sandard room.Your sister should feel safe at Suwarnabhum-there are always a lot of security staff around.Hope she has a good experience.

Louis Tavern also has rooms with shared facilities. We paid 1500b for 4hrs recently.

You get a room with 3 single beds and a TV with programmes all in Thai - Showers and toilets are nearby. Clean, private and comfortable for a lay down.

Free WiFi if she has a laptop.

This is in the international departure area, so if her connecting flight is domestic, could be a problem as she will have to leave international area and collect baggage.

It is quite difficult to find - and is signed 1st and Business class lounge - but anyone can go.

Search Louis Tavern and you will get more info.

instead of booking a room etc etc , just pay about 500B for etring the 1st class lounge , get food n drinks plus sofas there more confy to sleep on and safe for luggage etc. best of luck

Hi

We are flying to Bangkok next March, i found a hotel called Queens Garden Resort. It is meant to be a 10 minute drive from the airport, and they have a complimentary pick up service from the Airport. It only costs £15 a night, room only.

Thanks for the advices, i%26#39;ll let her know about the Louis Tavern and the Business Lounge, i feel so much better knowing that she will be safe and has an option in Suvarnabhumi. Thanks again :).

It%26#39;s been a while since I stopped off at Suvarnabhumi Airport, but business brought me over to this area.

Again, I cannot speak more highly of Queen%26#39;s Garden Resort. What I liked is that they have staff at the airport 24 hours day, which is a big relief for a single woman travelling late at night. it%26#39;s only a 6-7 minute driver from Suvarnabhumi Airport T
