Who is going to Aussie Bar to watch Grand Final (AFL)

We will be in Phuket from Sept 17th till 28th. Just wondering if there will be others watching the big game. Hopefully another ';cats'; final.

We were there for the prelims last year and the atmosphere was awsome!!

Hi Ange,

The Aussie Bar is in Bangla Road. As you walk from the beach it is on the left about 60m (i think) not too far any way. You can%26#39;t miss it. It is 2 story%26#39;s and has lots of Aussies in it. We always sit on the ground floor level that faces Bangla Rd.

We will also be there for the pre-lims. We may see you there. My husband,(wearing a Geelong Cap), our daughter and I and a couple of friends will be there too.

Last year was awsome. We made sooo many new friends, hopefully some of them will be there this year too. (Lots Of Aussie expats).

On a serious note you can watch the game or games just about anywhere in Patong.

Don%26#39;t forget to pack your scarf or shirt, You definately have to wear your colours.. I wore the Blues colors ( or should I say Blue Hair which I got many weird looks hahaha)for the last State of Origin but the Maroons won. Ohh well there is always next year.

the Aussie bar is great for football.. watched a few games there this year and wore my Sainters cap every where I went in Thailand.. a great ice breaker. but I found upstairs a little '; close'; in terms of fresh air.. definately think downstairs is better.

Hi Frodo, we were going to the Aussie bar but an aussie friend who lives here has suggested the Black Sheep which is down Bangla Rd opp end to the beach, turn left into Rat-u-thit rd about 50-100 metres from corner. Apparently last year aussie bar was tooo over crowded and standing room only. Hot and unpleasant. We will be at Black sheep.
