Sister Joan Evans is 76 yr old retired teacher from Perth Western Australia,who has devoted the last 16 years of her life to caring for Bangkok%26#39;s disadvantaged poor.She lives and works in the slum area of Klong Toei,devoting all her time and what ever resources she can obtain in order to give these people some sort of a chance in life.Stiga plays a great role in society and every day life when you are found to have HIV in Thailand and no body wants to know you!Even worse when you are a child..an innocent victim of circumstance.Sister Joan is a wonderful woman of few words who has tried her best to address these problems,helping to feed,clothe and educate these people. www.sisterjoan.
