Travelling to Phuket in Jan 09

I was wondering can anyone recommend where to stay that is quite nice around 3 - 4 star that would be good for a single female travelling alone?

I%26#39;m interested in either Patong, Kata or Karon beach areas.

I have stayed at the Aloha Villa in Patong, it is about 10 mins slow walk from main entertainment and beaches but is far enough for the noise etc not to be a problem. Good central location and not over expensive. I have written a review if you need to know more.

I travelled alone last April for the first time and chose Karon. I stayed at the Pacific Club Resort and it was lovely and really friendly. Also has a great restaurant which was not overpriced for a hotel. Fantastic rooftop pool.www.pacific-club-phuket.com
