Club Med Phuket or Club Med Cherating ??

We are looking at booking a trip with our two children who will be 2 and 6 yrs next April to one of the Club Med resorts. We cant decide between Phuket or Cherating?

Would love to hear from anyone who has been to either of these or any other feedback.

Is the weather in Phuket ok in April?

They do have some great specials so considering all your food, child care and drinks and activities are included we think its reasonable. The other option would be to go to a child friendly hotel in Phuket and probably save ourselves some $$$.

I%26#39;ve been to Club Med Cherating, but years ago now, probably 10 years????

It was absolutely fantastic and I loved it. You could walk or take the little buggy thing through the rainforest to a beach bar that was like a private beach away from the beach at the resort. Also, we had been initially put into the then new bungalows, but we asked to be shifted to the old ones, which we liked better and we had the end one, right on the beach, with no neighbours - very romantic, but since you%26#39;ve got kids, I guess there%26#39;ll be very little of that! : ) The monkeys come swinging through the resort at night, which is quite entertaining.

I haven%26#39;t been to Club Med in Phuket, but would definitely recommend Cherating even though my experience was about 10 years ago.
