lanta or koh chang

Hi beach10

Not been to Ko Lanta ourselves but looking for first couple of weeks in November - we can%26#39;t decide between Kho Lak or Ko Lanta, so your advice would be much appreciated please.

We visited Ko Chang last November and loved it, we stayed at the Dewa hotel situated on Klong Prao beach and I can very much recommend it. Its a boutique hotel, one of it%26#39;s best features is it%26#39;s black swimming pool, it%26#39;s fab - see link

Althoug Klong Prao is really quite, other busy areas are easily accessible as there is just 1 main road that runs between all of the resorts and you just hop and off little minibuses (like tuk tuk but bigger).

The only down side to Ko Chang is actually getting to the island - after arriving in BHK, we then decided to jump straight into a transfer minibus down to Ko Chang - it took 5 hours, and then you go over on a ferry - but its worth it.

Hope ive helped make up your mind

Hi beach10,

When my friends asked me, East (Ao Thai Sea) or West (Andaman Sea) in this time, I always tell them, this time (high season on Andaman Sea) suite for traveling around islands on Andaman Sea. Choose island which is your favorite and take your time on the white sandy beach under the sunshine.

Best Wish.

hi there

We%26#39;re planning a trip to koh lanta and would appreciate your advice on beaches!

We went to koh chang a couple of years ago and the main beach aka white sands is very commercial so not sure if your thing, if you prefer more basic we%26#39;d recommend http://www.remarkpuzi.com which is beach huts in bang bo which has the best beach nice restaurants but quite remote.

We then stayed in http://www.remarkcottage.com which was wonderful. From remark cottage you can still get a taxi easily to the main strip for restaurants / bars in white sands but it%26#39;s not so noisy here

hope this helps!
