Hat Yai traveling questionHat Yai is just a small town catering the Malaysian and Singapore tourists. I even walked and toured the whole city within one and half hour.
1. The answer: City central has super markets and department stores for tourist with VAT(value added tax) exclusive and 5% discount (For aeroplane tourists)
2. The answer: The city streets are full with street vendors selling the clothes, sun glasses, watches, DVD disks %26amp; food with relatively low prices. Quality is not very good. Some DVD can not be viewed.
3. For electronics and computers shopping, Robinson department store oppoisite of the Hat Yai railway station is the best place.
4. I stayed at Grand Plaza the rate was around bath 700 at the low season. In town guest house rate was bath 400 for standard room and bath 600 for family room. There are plenty of budget accomodations at Hatyai.
