Is Wi-Fi readily available throughout Bangkok?

Chenbear, I don%26#39;t have in-depth experience but I would say no commonly available. The Black Swan pub on Sukhumit Road has it (and good pub food too) for sure (free).

It is widely avaiable. Here is a by no means complete list which may help:

It%26#39;s very much available in central Bangkok: Silom, Siam, Chitlom, Sukhumvit, but sometimes it%26#39;s on a pay basis or only free for those with True cellphone SIM cards or something. Dozens of pubs, cafés, bars and restaurants have it for free. And while the big expensive brand-name hotels offer it in the lobby and charge through the nose for wired access in their rooms, many mid-market and boutique hotels now have it for free in their rooms AND in the lobby.
