I need to catch Air Asia flt at 7.15am - what time do i have to leave Khao san Rd. Will the taxi come to my accommodation early in the morning (i thought the street was closed to traffic at night)

Usually about 40 minutes, but budget an hour or 1:15. Best thing is to pick up a moving taxi (NOT a parked one!) on whichever main street is closest, Thanon Tanao or Thanon Chrakrabongse. There are always lots of taxis at all hours of the day or night. Lean in first, tell him you want to go to the airport, and make sure he%26#39;s going to use his meter. If he won%26#39;t, get another taxi. Cost should be about 220 baht plus 70 in tolls, so 300 or less.
