Can you advise?

Hi Everyone,

Returned from 2nd trip to Thailand in late August, and now dreaming of going in 2009. Both trips we have stayed in budget hotels which have been great. However, we are still trying to find a hotel that we would like to return to over and over. Stayed in Silom this year and was right near the skytrain which was great, but am wondering if sukumvit has more to offer?

Am after a budget hotel approx $40-$50aud. Must be near public transport, and easy access to plenty of food and things to see or do. Can anyone suggest a place that fits this bill. Doesn%26#39;t have to be in Silom or Sukumvit-if Chinatown has lots to offer that would also be fine. We don%26#39;t spend time in our hotels so budget and clean is fine.

Appreciate any help as I am finding it frustrating to find what we are after.

Cheers MCG

Check out the Swiss Park Hotel it is off of Sukhumvit Soi 11, not far from a Skytrain stop. Easy walk to bars, restaurants, malls, travel agencies for tours, street vendors and supermarkets.

In this area there are other hotels in your price range. There are even some other hotels near the Swiss Park that are even cheaper (with air, hot water, in room toilet/shower and color TV) you might want to check them out.

Check this hotel out, if the ';we'; means a husband, you might want to investigate. This is an old fashioned hotel, not far from the Landmark Hotel, not far from the Nana Skytrain stop. If the ';we'; means a girlfriend and you intend to bring a ';boy toy'; back to your room - the hotel won%26#39;t allow it!

Good luck.
