Siem Reap to Krabi with transfer in BKK

Hello,

We will be flying from Siem Reap to Krabi in mid-November and will need to transfer in Bangkok from Bangkok Airways to either Air Asia or Thai since Bangkok Airways does not fly to Krabi from BKK.

I assume we will need to clear customs/immigration in Bangkok before heading on to Krabi. Is this correct?

Also, how much time should I allow between flights in Bangkok?
