Weather in Koh Samui October 1 - 5

I%26#39;m planning on a trip to koh samui on 10/1 - 10/5 However, it seems like it%26#39;s supposed to rain everyday? is that true this time of the year? what%26#39;s the point in going if it will rain everyday.

Weather in Koh Samui October 1 - 5

if the weather will stay like today for the next week: change your plans!

the last week was fantastic.sunny, nearly no clouds and no rain!

yestaerday it turned over and it rained heavily.(only for 1hour)

today it is totaly cloudy and sometimes it rains a bit.

May - October is probably the worst time to go especially on the Adaman Sea (west) Coast. [Heavy rains.]

But the good news is... You are on the East Coast on the Gulf of Thailand. The Gulf Coast (east) has much less heavy rain but longer from June - December.

The rainy season is June ?October. *In October, in central areas, it will downpour for a few hours and than it’s done for the day. (*But you never know when.)

You could always take a taxi from Bangkok (1200 Baht) to Pattaya (or an A/C bus much cheaper.)

This is in Central Thailand... much less rain. Only for an hour than done for the day. You could stay in Jomtien Beach 10 minutes away from Pattaya. This is the better of the 2 beaches but still not the best beach. Thousands of umbrellas and very space to tan (on coral sand. Sandals are a must.)

Personally this time of year I would choose a hotel in Pattaya that has an outdoor pool (in the sun)as you never know when it%26#39;s going to pour. Try Areca(spelling?) Hotel. It has 2 outdoor pools - one in the shade and one in the sun.

Once it%26#39;s rained, (and it is warm,) it%26#39;s done for the day.
