new to phuket!!

Hello,

I have never been advised to take malaria tabs when going to Phuket which i come to a few times each year. Malaria tabs could affect the enjoyment of your holiday as they do have side effects. I would use mozzie repellent with deet.

Yes, the problem in Phuket is Dengue, not Malaria, take precautions to avoid mosquito bites.

No reason to worry about malaria but i would use mozzie spray as they are a bit friendly especially up around the indigo. Weather has been great here the last week so hope it holds for you.

Maybe I%26#39;m lucky but I%26#39;ve never gotten tummy aches or puking or even a mosquito bite while there...6 or 7 times now, always during peak season. Luck I guess.

thanks all of you. we are so excited about coming that way.... bought the lonely planet guide to thailand yesterday......

check the publish date of lonely planet guide - very quickly out of date. Much better to search online, here and elsewhere. Very many Thai forums around eg TA, VT etc and the forums at online booking sites like asiarooms, sawadee etc. Even lonely planet online.
