Cheaper Tours

Does anyone know whether you get tours cheaper if you book once your over in Phuket. We are looking at Simba Sea Trip or John Gray%26#39;s. I have looked on both their websites for their rates and was wondering whether you get them cheaper if you wait and book them once we are there?? Any thoughts?

Generally much better there, unless you book through your hotel (can%26#39;t believe people still do this !). Book through a road side tour operator. At least 20% off the brochure price.

Don%26#39;t limit yourself to the tours named here, other operators can be cheaper and just as reliable. Of course, they can also be the tour operators from Hell ! Do your research online, and ask people at your hotel. All part of the adventure of travel, I mean somebody had to be first for the Simba or John Gray%26#39;s tour.

We found our roadside booking agent very forthright when it came to telling us if an outfit was dodgy or not. We only took a small 3 island tour and it was great. Also got to see the other tour operators in action and see their boats, the looks on their customers faces as they got off etc (very telling). Foolishly thought I would remember the names of the good outfits for next time...didn%26#39;t write them down.

Find a reputable booking agency and book it when you are there. Discounts are able to be obtained.

Savings of 10% to 20% off the brochure rate are usual. More is possible for larger groups.

Never accept the first price!!! Rule Numero Uno!!

Thanks for your thoughts. If we get it 10 to 20% cheaper,thats quite a saving for a family. Does anyone know of any other tour operators, apart from the above who would be worth looking at?
