Bangkok and Chiang Mai

What is the minimum amount of time you should spend in Bangkok and Chiang Mai in order to see all the sights?

Bangkok and Chiang Mai

I would say 3-4 days in each place at least.

Bangkok and Chiang Mai

agreed.

I would say there would be no minimum. We are here in Thailand at the moment and there is just so much to see and do it would depend on what you want to do. WE have been here before and never got to see what we wanted to see so we came back.

You can book tours online before you leave or you can get your hotel to help you out. Either way the prices are similar. You can also book a private tour and if you have the money I would go for this as you get to see the things you want to see, stop when you want to stop and do what you want to do! I prefer this as we were able to see more interesting things at times that were less busy!

We have had 6 days in Bangkok, 4 in Chiang Mai and we stay for another 5 in Bangkok. This, to me, is just enough time but we still will not see everything. It gets quite hot by afternoon and your energy is sapped so by staying longer we were able to spread our time out to do many things in the morning and by mid afternoon, swim!

Hope you enjoy your time, we are!

I would say a week in each to at least scratch the surface but of course it depends what your main interests are, I am a bit of a history and architecture lover so can easily get lost in 1 site for half a day, (I did a long whole day at the temple of Dawn where I know others are happy with just an hour or so)
