Wiesenthal Resort

I am looking for affordable accomodation in Koh Samui from the 21st December 08 - 26 December 08.

The red house is fully booked.

Wiesenthal resort is available at 3000 bath per night.

Have anyone been there? Is it nice?

Any other recommedations?

We do not want pricey luxury accomodation.

And, prior to that we will be in Chiang Mai,

which is best, arriving with train to Koh Sumai and then take the ferry, or with plane.

I see the airfare is quite expensive.

We are heading to Dubai on the 26th December from bangkok, flight at 18:30pm.

Wiesenthal Resort

This place is a group of fairly basic bungalows at Baan Taling Ngam, next door to the upmarket Baan Taling Ngam Resort (Formerly Le Meridien).

As it is on the West Coast there is not much around there so if you are looking for nightlife and activities probably not the best option.

Regards

Robert

First of all be aware you are miles from anywhere and anything.

Dont rely on them to pick you up at the airport and dont be suprised when you finally make your own way to the hotel to find they have no idea you were coming despite over 20 emails confirming everything.

FRankly the place is baron and unwelcoming, there are loads of choices elswhere and may I reccomend a new hotel called Kanok Buri Resort, its superb and they are doing deals as they are new.
