Hi i%26#39;ve contrasting reports on this area of Bangkok. We%26#39;re travelling as a couple and I was wondering is it a safe area for us to venture into at night. Any feedback would be great.

Its a red light district. Safe as long as there are no problems or disputes.

Soi cowboy is totaly safe and more relax entertaiment area than NEP. I Did not see any

problem when visit the soi cowboy

If there is such a thing then Soi Cowboy is safe for couples.

Some of the girls will come and talk to the lady, if you want to chat then it is custom that you buy her a drink.

Bangkok is as safe as anywhere, day or night. In dozens of visits, I have never had any trouble there. There is some pick-pocketing lately that you should be careful about in crowds and on buses.

Soi Cowboy is perhaps the safest of the ';entertainment'; areas.

Unlike the others you can sit outside the bars on the patios and ppl watch, oh and elephant watch as well.

The bar girls are more laid back and less pushy.

Because of its more relax atmosphere you%26#39;ll find more expats there.

Soi Cowboy is a great and safe place to sit and chill in Bangkok, I have been there many times with my wife 18 year old daughter and even my 14 year old son. Of all the entertainment areas in Bangkok it is a lot less ';in your face'; than Nana or Patpong!

Great fun music bar right at the end featuring country and 60/70s music called Country Roads, nice athmosphere you can order food in there and the staff will go out and get it for you. No sleaze. A warning though it is very popular so get there early if you wnt to get a comfortable position.
