Chao Phraya Express boat pier is 2 minutes walk from Erawan House. BTS terminal Saphan Taksin is about 20 minutes away on the Chao Phraya Express.

Saen Saep Canal boat terminus is, maybe, 10 minutes walk (then 15-20 minutes to Phaya Thai near National Stadium BTS, or 20-25 minutes to Pratunam/Chitlom).

Taxi is about 30 minutes, 80 baht to Sukhumvit. All the major tourist sights - main temples, Grand Palace etc. are within walking distance or a quick boat ride.

Erawan House is newly-built inside, very clean and airy design, small but nicely-furnished rooms, Sat TV, A/C, free wifi, very friendly. It%26#39;s in a quaint little lane between Phra Athit Road and Soi Rambutri, steps from the river.

Sathorn Terrace is a 5-10 minute walk to Saphan Taksin BTS station.

You really have to judge the cleanliness of the rooms yourself. I stay in the Sukhumvit area pretty often not far from the Nana Skytrain stop. Khao San Road has cheap hotels but no close connection to the Skytrain.

I think that the Suk 11 Hostel would be closest to the Skytrain stop (Nana.) The Suk 11 might be the cheapest of the 4 places. There are some other hotels that are in this same area that might also do for you. Best to visit first. Suk 11 is very popular with backpackers. They do have private rooms with air.

Book a couple nights at the Suk 11 at first and look around. Also, check out the Narry Inn, President Inn, Bangkok Inn all on Sukhumvit Soi 11.

Good luck.

Dear Citrabf

I would like to recommend you the ';fits-my-budget'; hotel, Maxim%26#39;s Inn. Cleanliness - good. Location - one min stroll to Nana BTS. Price - cheap. Includes daily cooked breakfast, you choose which b/f set you want and they will prepare for you. Have most necessary facilities like free wifi, in-room safe deposit. No frills like swimming pool.
