$500 AUD approx to spend per night BEACHFRONT Villa

Hi everyone

i%26#39;m desperately searching for a room/suite/villa/bungalow/hut ACTUALLY on the beach (like, not walking around the pool to get there, step out from the room onto the beach)

We%26#39;ve got about $500 AUD per night to spend and i%26#39;d like something really nice.

I%26#39;ve seen Nora Ocean Pool Villas and they are fantastic, but the rest of our trip will be on Chaweng beach and we were wanting to check out another nice spot on the island...

Any suggestions? Its so hard looking at pics on the net cos so many say %26#39;beachfront%26#39; or %26#39;sea view%26#39; and you cant be sure if its the real deal.

I currently have The Sarann (but not beach, only ocean) Nora, Napasai (still unsure because of photos), Rockys (still unsure because of photos), The Saree (under construction).

Can anyone help me?

Cheers

Shaye

One resort I know for sure that has villas literally right on the beach is Newstar Resort on Chaweng Noi beach. You can also check Santiburi, Baan Taling Ngam Resort, and Sala Samui (I can%26#39;t remember quite as well as to whether there is a lawn or some other kind of public area in front of these ones before you reach the beach). Of course at all of these places you will have to request the highest category room type to be able to be right on or closest to the beach (like at Sala Samui, I think only the Presidential Pool Villa would qualify).

Napasai is really lovely and if they have a villa on the beach that%26#39;s the place I would stay at. You should keep in mind though, that a beachfront villa like at Newstar does not have a whole lot of privacy. Anyone can be in front of your villa, other guests or even local hawkers, as the beach is not private property of the resort.

Shaye,

As posted above by Trevostar, you don%26#39;t get many luxury Bungalows actually fronting onto Chaweng Beach. The beach is like a main road day and night, and there are endless beach parties all week. You%26#39;d get no peace!

I stayed at Amari Palm Reef resort in a deluxe bungalow. There are some which front onto the pool, which is directly on the beach. It was an amazing stay.

Also I ate at ';The Library';, very modern and exclusive. No beach front villas but a very private and secluded intimate resort. It%26#39;s at the south end of the Beach so much quieter. Also has a funky red tiled swimming pool!!

Good luck,

Scuders

Shaye - you should check out the Banana Fan Sea Resort. It%26#39;s right in the guts of Chaweng, with some suites/villas pretty much right on the beach. It seems to be around about your budget too.

Worth a look :)

Hi Shaye,

Have been watching this post. Why don%26#39;t you have a look at Samui Paradise Chaweng - It is at the southern part of Chaweng beach, and there are 4 only beachfront villas - 1 honeymoon suite with own pool, and 3 paradise suites - my daughter stayed there last month in a paradise suite - it was amazing - jacuzzi on the balcony and directly on the beach.

I stayed there in February in a grand seaside villa (1 back from the paradise suite) and drooled at the beachfront accommodation. Resort pool is not large but you don%26#39;t need it as it is on the best part of Chaweng beach.

We are longing to go back there - but, unfortunately we can%26#39;t afford the beachfront location.

The resort underwent a major refurb and the villas on the beach are unbelievable.

Cheers,

Sandy
